Liar Game Season 2 – 09 [Final Episode!!!]


Liar Game. It has come such a long way. From the ‘it’s just too cheesy’ to the ‘it’s just that good’ factor. Since this is the final episode why don’t we break down the main story line. Make an overall recap and judge the music.

No need to cue the music this time.

At first we think that Katsuragi knows about the traitor. But she actually doesn’t. This is the final game before they go to the Final Stage. Which is like a whole movie. Since Kastrugagi really thinks she knows who’s the traitor. She does the “Prisioners Dilema” by Blindfolding two persons. And making a noise. Making them think that they told on each other. Soon we find out that Katsuragi want’s her team mates to actually carry out Akiyamas plan. Becuase if they do they will win. And she want’s them to bring gold to them. She tells marie to go and carry out the plan. And bring the money to her. Marie is the one that Akiyama is supposed to tell were the cards are. But he doesn’t. Then during the 13th Game. Akiyama tells Ikezawa were the cards are. Because he is now on Akiyama’s side. Then the score comes up it’s 42 to 32. Winning Akiyama. How did he pull it off? Well he had already planned it from the begging. And it was a show for Katsuragi. Thanks to the tape records. Becuase Noe recorder nice things and Akiyama gave it to them. Noe is still naive. But she manages to get alone just fine. Nao will surley save all of them.

Then during a blast to the past. During collage. In the final exam. Katsuragi discovers that the letter had no self introduction. And a kid on a hospital decided to send good thoughts to people on balloons. And the teachers daughter uncovers one of them. And helps her in her depression. :D

Then Akiyama gives a gold bar to Katsuragi so that she can also go to the Final Stage. And the ones to get free tickets are Akiyama and Fukanaga.

MOVIE PV !!!

We see nao happy that it’s all over. Unpacking grocery’s and the guy with a gold tooth tells her that she can participate because Akiyama would be all alone. :( Well she got sucked to the Final Stage. I guess she had to go somehow. xD

Dance in the Vampire Bund 4


There’s a problem. Mina has escaped from the complex building and Akira has to find her as soon as possible he finds her playing with kids on jumping the rope. Later she gives an interview that is sure to change the way people look at vampires.

After we find Mina jumping rope and Akira finding her. Akira steps into Mina’s room where Mina is taking a shower. On a bathtub, with water that seems to be blood. Akira delivers the towel he is supposed to deliver and Mina walks out of there. Later a guy Mina calls by the name of ‘Juneau’. With men that seem to come out of Men in Black or The Matrix they give a good argument about how the werewolves are just dogs of the Vampire Bund. He offers his men to be the bodyguards of Mina during the press conference. And they do take a lot of measurements to make sure no one is carrying a gun or something illegal or they are actually a vampire. Because they can actually kill Mina. Mina then gives a very good interview, she says that she has a lot of companies in Japan that help build it’s economy. Withouth those private industries Japan wouldn’t be what it is right now. And if they don’t accept Tokyo Zero as an actual land. Then they would remove all companies from Japan. If they do this it’s economy would be crush. Though they do own the companies so they can do whatever they want with them.

We then learn that Mina was actually playing with fangless Vampires. Vampires who decided that they don’t want to suck blood anymore. They are chased by both races. Humans and Vampires. That must be a though life.

After Sayaka sensei suffered a nervous breakdown. Kobato and Fujimoto take care of her while she sleeps. Meanwhile another sub plot is developed.

My main question for this episode. Is. Who is this guy at the end of the episode? Why must they be so mysterious? I don’t get it.

Anyway, in this episode Sayaka suffered a nervous breakdown. She was just standing there and she collapsed. It was traumatizing for Kobato. She quickly goes to Kohaku in search of a doctor. Luckily the doctor is there and she takes her to Sayaka. Meanwhile Fujimoto try’s his best to cheer up the kids. Because they are worried a for Sayaka. He plays the organ for them. They decide that they want to fold 1 thousand origami swans. So that Sayaka can get better.  Kobato is taking watch for Sayaka while Fujimoto goes to school. He comes back and Kobato goes home. Mean while Fujimoto does homework. And we see how hard he works. Kobato decides that she must make rice or something like that for Sayaka. Because it’s easy to digest. She uses the kitchen at the nursery. Fujimoto gets spooked. And helps her make a real one. Then we cut to commercials. And we come back just to see that at the end there’s a guy in a black shirt. (Probably another crossover) And BAM ! We don’t see his face. Isn’t it exciting? A mystery!! :D

Katanagatari (刀語) 01

Wow this was like a short anime film. It was so colorful and it was so different. It like nothing we have ever seen. A secret sword skill that passes only through blood. This skill uses no weapons. Because of this skill our father’s main character gets banned to a desolated island. And has to live with his family there. He teaches his son the secret technique. And his son uses it in real battle. (btw I’m placing this under film because it’s a 1hour special.)

The story revolves around swordplay and a technique that doesn’t use any swords. Shichika (Yoshimasa Hosoya) is found in deep trouble when a girl, Togame (Yukari Tamura), comes to his desolated island. She asks Shichika to fall for her. Because it’s the only way she can trust her. A ninja follows behind her. They are soon found in a tremendous battle. This anime is from the same studio as Bakemongatari and from the same author. And because there is such a thing I was expecting that the story would advance mainly through dialog. And it did. The story is presented. You get you’re problem and how they are going to resolve it. In this case the problem is that they need to find the 12 swords of the master who made 10,000 swords.  But they do talk for about 15 minutes of the episode. Well it’s not that bad. They do manage to keep you hooked all the way through the episode. And it never gets boring. I was very pleased at how the episode ended. And how we got to see more in an anime than we always do. Because it was a 1 hour long special. The art style was simply amazing. I can’t begging to describe it. This is truly an animated epic. Wait if there are 12 swords and there are 12 episode. Then I’m guessing he’s going to get 1 sword per episode. and another thing. The intro song reminded me of Ghost in the Shell. It was pretty.

Sora No Woto (ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト. ) 3

I know i stressed this. But Sora No Woto reminds me so much of K-On. From the drum playing from the art style. During practice Kanata is overhwhelmed and faints from heat exhaustion. Then Rio freaks out and doesn’t know what to do. Kanata asks for some ice. And so Rio searches for some ice. But of course they are not going to have ice on the cabinet. Then she searches for medicine but they are poorly stocked and they don’t have anything. She decides to go seek help from a nun. Or something like that. The nun gives herbal tea to Kanata, and places wet band aids all over her face. Kanata remembers a song that Rio was singing. What a coincidence. Kanata had already heard that song. Rio then takes Kanata to the big machine thing and plays the song. It was very good moment. The team comes back from work. And we find out that Rio’s teacher was actually the woman Kanata saw play the song. OMG !the lines are connecting.

Durarara (デュラララ!!) 3

Is teenage drama, well it depends, interesting, did you add some serious comedy and great action sequences, and a little bit of a love story. Hell yeah!!!

After school Kida decides that he is going to try his luck at picking some chicks. While Simon does a sexy, artistic voice over, about the city and it’s amazing cutlures. After several atempted fails of luring costumers. Simon finds Russian chicks who are trying to find their way around tokyo. He gladly helps them out in Russian of Course. Soon after the color gang, try’s to bully Sonohara. But Orihara comes to the rescue pushing Mikado and making him land in middle of the situation. Then a giangt refrigerator comes flying and hits Origara in the face. It turns out that the one who threw it was Shizou (a new charachter to the series) picks a fight with Origara. According to Mikado they are not guy’s you want to make enemy’s off. And they certanly don’t look like it. Then a guy in state of panic decides to attack Shizou. Making him bleed all over. A bit over exagerated in my opinion. Then a big fight start’s. Then a couple more story is revealed to msn chat. Or what do they use in Japan. Probably a service we don’t even know about. xD

I love Durarara, it’s like Bakemonogatari, but better. I keep comparing this series to Bakemonogatari, because everyone say’s Bakemonogatari was really amazing, and artistic.  I have to admit, it is a pain to edit the way they did. But in my opinion it wasn’t groundbreaking. And it wasn’t good either. There was no story behind it. And I literally feel asleep during the episode. That’s how boring it was. It was kinda hard to keep up with the story too. Now on the other hand, Durarara is groundbreaking. I mean i have never seen something of the equal matter.

New Theme

Hi, since were always looking to rock our-self’s. We felt that it was time for a change. Early change but time for a change. Black Rock Anime is being hosted a blog hosting serviced called WordPress.com xD that’s why it’s included in our url. WordPress.com just launched a new theme called Monochrome. Which in deed you should be looking at it now. If click on this post heading on you’re feed. If you’re reading this on Google Reader. If you are then you might want to click on it because this theme is rocking our blog. Now you can see the category’s at the top of the blog. You can quickly jump to a series and see all it’s episodic reviews, it gives you a little summary of the blog post. and you can easily scroll through it. No images so it’s much easier and faster to load. The series animate with a beutifull drop down menu style. Though we are giving the 2×2 image system we had. This theme is small that’s why were now only doing 1 image. :D But that’s doesn’t matter. All you google reader fans. will still get the blog as it was originally intended too. :D Anyway, hope you like the new theme. We uncover that Mina is actually the chairman of the school. Akira is studying in. They decided to have a battle in the school. And we uncover that Mina actually has funds in very important Japanese Company’s.

First off we have a little recap from last episode. And then we start off with Akira and Mina being in bed together. Then they lift of the sheets and Akira is naked. Why don’t we supposed they had a fun night. Later we discover that Mina is the chairman of the school Akira is studying in. Which is like very important. And they are all like very important and all that, then the student council president decides to battle it out for their school. And Mina propses that if they find Akira they would remove her from the chairman office. Or as the chairman of the school. A little blah blah. And then they have the chase for Akira. Akira manages to get away and recover his cellphone. While on the other side Mina is debating with some very important Japanese buisness men. And all of them have to agree to accept the Bund. Or Mina will remove her actions from the company’s thus leaving the whole country not able to work. Then the president of the council is taken away by nightly vampires.

Once again this anime reminds me so much of Bakemonogatari, but at the same time it doesn’t because Bakemonogatari was boring in my opinion. Artistic yes, boring yes. Nothing happened. And the story was unreadable. I mean like I didn’t understand anything. Well this is like that but more understandable. :D

Kobato (こばと。) 14

The nursery goes picking sweet potatoes to a farmer’s ranch. They soon find a thief, and the story unfolds with it.
The nursery decided that it was time to go picking sweet potatos, so that they could cook them in the nursery, I think it’s fun for the kids and for the big guys too. In the farmers garden they find a kid picking potatoes, they worry about him because he was a thief. He runs away. Then Kobato picked up a little bit in excess but they farmers help her carry it all to the nursery, then then cook them and have a good time. But as it seems they picked too many, and they need to give some of them to the neighborhood. And so they do, in the process they find the same kid. And he try’s to run away. But Fujimoto captures him. We then later learn that he rune’s away from his house to find his old house because his grandpa treated him very badly. But in reality he treated him like that because he was worried about him. But the kid didn’t understand. Then the kid is reunited with his grandpa. Kobato gets a Kompeto at the end. :)
